The Barbara H. Hagan School of Nursing and Health Sciences (SO NHS) at Molloy University seeks a full-time nursing faculty member, qualified as Director of Simulation Education, to join our supportive, energetic, mission-driven community of teacher-scholars. The ideal candidate will have expertise, with relevant certification, in all dimensions of simulation as a clinical learning modality. The position will encompass opportunities to teach courses in an area of expertise in nursing, and to lead and coordinate the continued strategic integration, implementation, and evaluation of simulation as a clinical learning experience in the undergraduate and graduate nursing programs. Collaboration with nursing faculty, staff in Molloy's leading-edge, INACSL-Endorsed Clinical Learning Center (CLC), the CLC director, and Associate Deans for the prelicensure and graduate programs, commitment to student success, and enthusiasm for innovation are integral aspects of the role. In addition, the faculty member will help to facilitate the development of interprofessional learning experiences across programs in the SONHS, support faculty colleagues' understanding of simulation pedagogy, and facilitate continuing professional development in simulation for CLC staff and faculty. Availability during the summer months is an expectation for the position. 

The ideal candidate will meet the following minimum requirements: 

  • Doctorally-prepared
  • Clinical expertise in nursing; national certification in a clinical specialty preferred
  • Significant experience in nursing education and simulation modalities
  • Simulation-certified or eligible for certification
  • Eligible for unrestricted licensure as an RN in New York state

Salary Information:

When determining the salary offer for a new employee, Molloy considers several key characteristics such as job knowledge, skills, and experience as well as internal and external equity. The hiring salary range for this position is $85,000 to $105,000. This hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation at the time of posting.
